Default 2 Runs, 1st with Roush Mustang GT, then an R32

So going home from work, i somehow got behind a Mustang GT with a Roush emblem on the rear, i pull to the next lane, still behind him, looks like he's got gauges up the *** on his dash. we go towards the straight away, i get on his tail because of traffic, his loud exhaust got louder and louder, he gasses it hard and so do I, still staying on his tail but can't get any closer. we hit minor traffic ahead, i pull up next to him and smile, then we exited different way. that guy's probably thinking " Damn, i spent $10,000 and i can't even pull away from a little tiny Audi?"

then a block away from home, i noticed there was a tweeked out R32 next to me. he come to a red light, i asked him if he wants to Run, while still looking at him, as soon as he said "yeah", the light turned green without me knowing, he beat me off the line on that run, then to the next light, we both rev up waiting for the green, it turns green, SHIAT MAN, that guy didn't even slip his tires, he gripped the rd sooooo easy while i was still spinning a bit, he got ahead for 2 car lengths, got on second gear and caught up to him, by the time i got on third, we were even, then i slowed down. he's probably got some $$$ under that hood and suspension

well, can't say i won any runs tonight, but nice to see how i compared so a Roush Mustang GT and an modded R32.

He has a reflash, Neuspeed RSB, and a hard core weight reduction program. But the third only applies to him, and not to his car. Heh heh.

Audinam, sounds like you need some grippier tires. Are you still on your original set, or have you burned through them already?

i'm still running the same tires =(

i'm gonna get an stiffer engine mount before anything else though, unless i burn through my tires first

You think VF-Engineering? The three mounts cost ~$200 each! That can get you quite a good set of tires.

The side mount's installation also requires jacking the engine up a bit too install. A bit tricky, although undoubtedly A3Night is going to think that he can do it himself.

As for whether to worry about warranty on motor, technically it's gone (when we reflashed), but the mounts cannot be hidden. Are the improvements worth it? Have you been in A3 / Golf / Rabbit / GTI / Jetta with these mounts installed?

Maybe you should sell your HID's and related hardware to another A3 owner for $$$ and regular halogen headlights to fund further mods. Just a thought.

I have $$ for mods, it's just that i haven't spend $ on any other things except for my car lately.......... i mean, i haven't gone out to eat at a fine dinning place and splurge $500 on a great meal and a good bottle of wine....... things like that, or go on a mini vacation....... that's why i'm not modding, it's not the $$, it's what i'd rather do with that $$.
