Have there been any preview articles/mentions of the new 2008 A3?

I heard that there will be new Audi body-styles for next year... can anyone substantiate that?

info for 08 models won't be available for another couple of months.

as for new body styles, highly unlikely. considering the current a3 was just introduced less than 2 years ago, we won't see anything until 2009/2010 at the earliest.

There were many vague comments from Christian Bokich about the S3 coming to USA during some of his recent interviews. Personally I think Audi is within a years time will release a sportback with the higher output 2.0T engine from the S3 with Quattro. Considering that Audi is watching how the more expensive BMW 1 Series is faring and other competitors, I believe the time is approaching.

Sure there are a bunch of other stuff discussed such as A3 Cabrio seen and rumor concerning possibly an Audi A3 3.2 S-line Titanium Package that could be released for 2008.

Right now the spot light is on the A5, S5, and RS5 series in the news, with the revised A4 model coming in 2008.

Hi All-

The vehicle is way too early in its production cycle for wholesale redesigns to occur. I concur we won't see any radical changes until at least 2010.

Hi to you!
Photo's of the rumored A3 Cabrio have been online for awhile. Given the fact that Audi is expanding their model line more rapidly a change of available engines in a A3 is not out of line. Consider all the green (pro environment) A3/A4 articles that we have seen recently.

Hi All-

My feeling is that a two-door A3 cabriolet would be more closely related to the TT model in my estimation. Ragtop options for A3, A4, and TT would be splitting hairs and would cause too much dilution in my opinion. Audi has enough convertible choices!

Ahh you haven't kept up the future car news. The A4 Cabrio is being replaced by the larger 2009 A5 Cabrio, therefore a four passenger A3 Cabrio would work, and yes you still have the 2 passenger TT convertable (roadster).

Hi JohnS1-

Very interesting! Essentially having small, medium, and large options makes sense.
