Default 96 a3 timinig belt
hi
today i started my car moved about 50 metres and it stopped i think the timing belt broke i was doing about 20km/h have i done anymore damage to the engine?

You are not going to know until a new belt is installed & a leak down or compression test is performed.
Most likely there are bent valves though.

thoght i let you know, got my car back from the mechanic and the problem was the steering pump siezed.
the car goes back next week to have a new timimg belt installed for peace of mind.
