Hi,

My 1.8T fan noise started gradually getting louder and finally got so irritating that I decided to do something about it. I found a really useful article on how to get to the fan - Heater Blower quick fix guide and removal | Audi-Sport.net

Having done that and removed the fan I started to test it. Very strange when the fan is facing towards me whilst holding it in my hand it wasn't making any noise. As soon as I started to twist it left or right on 180 degrees back to the correct position is started making that noise again. This make me think it could be the cable connecting the fan, so I have tried to un-twist it as best I can but it still doesn't seem to have any affect.

I am stumped. Do you think I need a new Fan Blower? Or are my electrics at fault here?
