Default A3 chipping TDI??

Hi guys, im new to this forum and have little car knowledge, although racing/cars always been a hobby,
basically just forgive my stupidity

I have recently purchased an A3 06 2.0TDI,sport,(about a 2 weeks ago), completely love it, brilliant car, however
i noticed that there is also a 170bhp version of the TDI coming out or has come out???
is it possible to chip a diesel engine? is this the only difference?

presume this would screw my warranty as well?

I wrote to APR and they advised me the only ones they look at are the petrol engines, specifically the 2.0t
which i would of had but as i use this for business diesel made more sense, or at least it did 2 weeks ago

Thanks in advance
Steve

Steve,

You can most definitely chip the TDI. I had my previous TDI chipped +++. Check out the TDIClub.com forum for the best information on the web at the TDI engine, but my recommendation is Rocketchip for the TDI. That's the best US based company, not sure what you guys are using over the pond. Just do a little research and you'll find your answer. BTW, that board is very technical, but also friendly, so I suspect you'll gain more knowledge that you may choose. AND, the chipped TDI is a torque monster!!!

Cheers!
