The dipstick didn't blow out every time, If I'm being honest with myself it maybe only happened once or twice over the entire saga.

Even then it may only have happened while red-lining it under some load...

I'm no mechanic, but I got the feeling that if I'd taken the engine out, cleaned all the crap out of it, it'd have been fine.. shame there isn't really a way to do it cheaply.
