A3 drivers, what is your age?
When I first was looking at the A3 all my friends were like "are you seriously going to get a wagon? are you a soccer mom or are you a man?" Thank God I dont care what other people think otherwiseI would have never gotten the joy I get everyday when I get in my car. Now when they are riding in it they compliment the interior design and its performance. Also while they struggle to fit their sh*t in their coups I can sit back and laugh. I still get some comments about it being a wagon butI amquick to call it a sport hatch-back and ask them what they fit in their trunk lately.

33, almost 34. Does it matter than I can easily pass for 24-25?
Re: girl car - girls tend to have better taste in material possessions, right?
Re: wagon - I've driven wagons since 2003, so does that make me an old soul?
Coincidentally, my last car (WRX wagon) was much more of a 'wagon' and was called 'cute' a lot more often. My Audi gets described more often by both sexes as 'sweet' and 'damn fine looking'

This is a bit off topic, and not intending to hijack the thread,
just to answer some valid points:
Regarding the 9' longboard - will have to try. I do not have the A3 yet.
In my Subaru, when I put the front seat down, there is another foot or so
under the dash with the longboard in. Hence I ASSUMED it might work.
I will have to measure before I buy, or learn how to ride
a shortboard. I measured the distance from trunk to under the
dash in the BMW 328 coupe and it actually looked like the 9' would fit,
with the seats down, of course.
The wax issue - I have a bag, the wax is nasty indeed.
Not a big fan of the roof racks - it rains here quite a bit, a salty bath
for the car each time that happens.
But thanks for raising the lengthissue, will have to check.
Phildo .......I know i posted this somewhere else...apologize for repeating. A3 was top of the list of 'chick cars' on last weeks episode of 'test drive' on mojo. This affords us one luxury...they never see us coming.
And the geezers bull their way to the lead. I'm tellin' you, it's a vehicle for responsible, Republican, senior citizens - perfect for those daily trips to the Doctor (easy to park), or those quick jaunts to the mall for a walking workout. A folding wheelchair fits perfectly in the back, and the cubby under the seat ishandy for a small inhaler or oxygen booster.
