ORIGINAL: Chef

Welcome Philly!

After you get through the winter, you'll want to chip the ECU when you get the new performance tires.

Cheers!
Thanks, Chef! I've already been contemplating that and was going to ask for comparisons on whose flash is the best bang for the buck (I'm thinking Neuspeed) and also for feedback on what it does to mileage and other aspects of drivability. The A3 may be a step down in power and traction compared to either Subaru, but it's a step up in every other way, including fun to drive. I've always thought it was one of the best looking cars on the road and I love the way it sounds.

28 almost 29...and my car arrives now on the 14th this Friday. I have bitten all of my fingernails off just waiting, but I've made a few purchases waiting on it. Smoked side marker light kit and rear cargo mat. Once it gets here I need to find a good tuner shop here in ATL that I can build a good relationship with...(CHEF I'm getting the chip...)

Congrats!

Yeah, I don't think you could go wrong purchasing a chip for this car. I still get a big grin on my face driving my car and I've had it for almost 2 years. This car is just plain fun, whether it be scooting through traffic, or cruising on the open road. I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a better daily driver.

Cheers!

Yeah I ordered it on Monday from the directaudiparts site...it was like $112 with shipping I think. I'm on the hunt today for a good shop here in ATL so if anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate!!!

Ottoaudi, you really need to get rid of those orange side markers. It distracts from the whole look. Otherwise, you have one sweet looking ride.

Cheers!

Hey -
So, I am poking around the internet trying to figure out if anyone has any solutions to fitting a longboard INSIDE an Audi a3. Not much out there on this topic, except your post! Were you able to do this? I looked at an A3 today and it seemed like the front seat would not recline (forward or back) enough to be able to get a board in. Wondering if you figured out some other solution? Or maybe the headrest comes off on the earlier A3s? The one I looked at was a 2011 and the headrest wouldn't come off without using tools.
Thanks!

Just turned 37, so I voted and tied up all the 30s, I was 35 when I bought it. I always wanted a GTI, but once I priced new ones when I had a baby on the way the CPO A3 was a no-brainer. It fits 2 bikes in the back with the rears folded (now I have room for 4 on the roof) or all of my DJ equipment (turntable coffin, PA speaker stands, cables, 2 crates of records). I looked at the Subarus and Mazdas, but this was by far the best choice
