Just wondering if anyone has picked up a KO4 Turbo upgrade kit for the 2.0T. It's is a bit on the expensive side, but you gain 100hp and 120 tq over stock. I would love to see this in combination with a full catback exhaust, Carbonio Air Intake, and ECU flash. Man, can you imagine the tire spin!! LOL

The numbers they are quoting you for the turbo upgrade contain a CAI, TB Exhaust, and ECU modification. You won't be able to squeeze much more than what they claim until you upgrade to a GT28 turbo. It still would be nice.

I guess I'm wondering if anybody here has done a turbo upgrade on their A3. And if so, can they launch it, or do they just get front tire spin from having too much power?

On a side note,I found this cool video on how to launch a DSG. I don't know what kind of abuse it will do the the transmission though. It may have been posted before, but basically they take a manual transmission GTI and go against a DSG GTI in a drag.

In the February 2007 edition of Sports Compact Car they had a GTI Throwdown with a lot of different tuners working on the 2.0T engine. The fastest three all had Quaiffe LSD, and the fastest had a 0-60 time of 4.82 seconds with 368whp! I imagine they still have wicked amounts of wheel spin, even with the LSD.

The H&R car, which had the set-up similar to mine, Chip-TB Exhaust-CAI, has a 0-60 time of 5.54 seconds, which isn't too shabby for a 2 liter, 4 cylinder car. The GT28RS turbo on this car turns it into a REAL sports car.
