Well that pretty much shoots holes in my previous theories.

When it shut off at the stop light, were you already up to normal operating temp or was it still warming up?

 

It was still warming up I guess. But doesnt matter, its happened when it was already warmed up as well.

It starts up, then it just completely dies, power cuts right off.

I had to call road side assistance yesterday after work, I could get the A3 to stay on, power just kept cutting off. So, the flat bed came and took it to my dealer, its been there for 2 days now.

I just got a call with an update. Something is up with one of the fuel sensors. They had to order the part from Audi and told me it will take awhile because the part is being supplied in low amounts, so they told me my A3 will be there for atleast 1 week. I told them I need something to drive then, so they told me to call them Monday morning and they will have something for me. I guess a loaner during my the time my A3 will be in the shop.

I am totally not happened this happened, my A3 is less then 1 yr old. I am glad they diagnosed the issue and hopefully they are telling me the truth about this part they have to wait on.

They told me its a very very very simple procedure and issue, its just the waiting on the part.
