I bought a beautiful looking a3 two weeks ago and since then it seems like it must be cursed or something. 4 days after I bought it some blonde reversed out of her driveway into me leaving my passenger side in ruins and now the car won't drive. I took it to my mechanic and he said the clutch needs replacing and that parts cost $1900 for the clutch kit with a dual mass flywheel and something called a UNG motor which I've never heard of before. So can anyone give me some info on why I need a dual mass flywheel and whatever a UNG motor is. I'd really appreciate it

 

I really don't see a relationship between a banged up door and the clutch. What do you mean the car won't drive?? IMO if the car was hit hard enough to damage the clutch and flywheel, then it should be totaled, just from the safety point of view.
