Default A3 rear tire rubbing with 18s

I am running 18x8.5" Velocity Motoring RS4 replicas with 225/40-18 Yokohama Neovas. S-Line car. Getting some rubbing only on medium to large bumps on the rears. It contacts the plastic fender liner on the inside edge of the rear fenders. Nothing to roll there as the inner fender wall is flat. Anyone have a solution that does not involve cutting/shaving away the liner in that spot?

spacers will push his wheels out- especially if his offset is already low (I'm assuming you have the et38mm wheels) which will only worsen his situation. Brungold1 is running on 19x8.5 et48mm vmr rs4 reps and no issues- riding on Neuspeed sports.
