A3 tdi noise

What is the part called that bolts on to the bottom of the egr valve?
Mine is making a strange noise when ignition is on.
Its a 56 plate 2.0 tdi

Its the throttle body motor making the noise.... can these be replaced or are they part of the throttle body??
And do they need programming??
Do the different part numbers make a lot of difference?
