Default ABS/cambelt questions

Sorry if this has been covered already but two questions:

ABS light and anti skid have twice now, stayed on after engine start and then gone out having been driven and engine stopped and started again. Light currently out but asked garage to have a look and it’s come back as needing a new ABS pump (was so hoping it would be a sensor!) does this sound right? Apparently new from Audi £2000 but reconditioned one approx £600 which sounds reasonable to me - as long as it does need doing. Have read about known faulty parts on this age of A3 (2006)

Second question: checked when cambelt was last changed and it was done at 142,000 miles in 2014. Audi dealer told me today it needs changed every 140,000 miles or 5 years whichever is first. Again does this sound right? Mileage seems very high....either way it’s probably overdue.

Current mileage approx 210,000 and it’s a 2006 A3 sportback 2.0 petrol (also I love it and it has never let me down until today when it failed MOT on emissions due to holy exhaust!! Easily fixed - point being I’m keeping it for as long as I can. Don’t see any reason why it won’t do 300,000 miles as it’s still in mint condition)
