Default acceleration hesitation

anyone ever notice this? '07 2.0 DSG , had the 15k service the other week, now twice in the past week or so, one hard and one soft acceleration from stop, the car starts out normal, the hesitates HARD for a split moment(enough to move the body) and then continues on. Sure doesn't seem normal....

yea mine kinda does that.
especially when you just recently slowing down and try to accelerate again.
there is a slight delay sometimes when the clutch goes out and it takes a while to snap back in for the tranie gets your throttle input.

glad to hear someone else sees this, guess we'll see how often it happens, seems the only two times were this past week, ever.

Times like this I wish I didn't go DSG but manual......

Hi Joel,
I met you outside "baja" today. I believe this hesitation may be related to extremely cold days. Was it particularly cold the day you experienced the problem? I had another co-worker with a VW explain the same issue with an automatic on a cold day. (I talked to my dad, and he said VW has some sensors that control the fuel-injection, and on cold days they tend to open a valve too long (or choke?) not sure... but this could causes the engine to flood/hesitate.)
The rest of the year they perform great.

Take care,
Steve

PS. don't forget to fill out my oil consumption poll!
if(typeof(dstb)!= "undefined"){ dstb();}

Yes, but less noticeable after haldex Gen II upgrade.

DSG seems to be the most responsive so when you get annoyed just switch over to that
