What are some easy driveway mods I can do myself?

 

They do have an intercooler, but there are plenty of places you can get new ones, larger one, and front mounted. I like ECS tuning in the states, but there are heaps of places, just have a look here http://www.vaglinks.com/
Also, there are a few drive way mods like the intercooler, a cold air intake, and replacing the (probably) worn diverter valve, replacing that on my old VW GTi really made a difference. Remaps etc and so on are more expensive but will release a lot more from what is a very capable and potential engine.

u can get all kinds of intercoolers in ebay or autozone.
