Audi A3 problems

Audi A3 problems
Hi.
I've just done a quick Google search and come across this forum so I'm hoping someone out there can shine a little light on my two annoying problems.
1) My car (A3 2011 Sportive Black Edition) is always saying that the number plate light is out. It was when I originally bought the car but I've changed it for a new LED bulb but still no joy. The bulb is working perfectly fine. I just need to somehow remove the error message on the dash.
2) Both my passenger and driver windows creek when the windows are fully closed. I've tried the spray silicone trick on all of the seals repeatedly and even tried washing up liquid but it's still there. I've surround sound creaking and it's driving me nuts. Any ideas on how to fix this would be great
Thanks for any info

Hi.
I'm in the u.k. I'm assuming you had 3 years warranty which has now expired? Being a 2011 model, you should be able to get some goodwill from a main dealer (provided the vehicle has a full service history) to help with the cost of the repairs.
The creaking is probably a known issue, which probably has modified door seals as the rectification. There may be a bulletin released by Audi, advising the dealers on this issue and the repair method. Always worth contacting them first to enquire.
Same May apply to the no. Plate bulb issue.
Speaking to parts personnel is handy as they know of the common/ fast moving parts and would possibly be able to advise.
