on average...when do original brakes need to be changed?
so my 2007 A3 2.0 MT is at 26,000 miles and my brakes feel like they are at half their strength -- honestly they never felt that great to begin with! i've had 2 scheduled maintenance check-ups already (not sure if they did any brake adjustment/work), but just feels like it's time to get new ones. Also my original Pirelli's are about done (they suck!)
can't wait to upgrade that dept too!
i've read about the Akebono Ceramic pads..looks like these will do me right...BUT,
do if i don't get them installed by my dealer will my Audi Dealership say they won't be covered under my warranty...and furthermore will that affect any other parts of my warranty??
also i'm in Glendale, CA area...know of any good Audi mechanics in the area?
thanks for any input!

Which dealer do you take it to?
You could try PMing Audinam (he's a local guy) and used to have an A3 couple years ago. He should be able to answer your question and tell you the lowdown about the brakes.
Since you're local, check out the West section and make it out to future GTG's!
