Bad start to the week - immobilser?
Hi,
This is my first post, apologies that it's asking for some information but Im hoping you will be able to help me.
The car is a 2003 2.0 FSI which up until now has been no problem.
Yesterday I treated it to a full valet which was well over due. The results where amazing and the car looks as good as new, brilliant. However, it no longer starts as a direct result of my extra attention.
During the day I did have the radio on for a long time but I did periodically start the engine and I ended the day with an oil top up which involved running the engine.
This morning, my other half went to go to work in her new shiny car only find that it wont start. The immobiliser is kicking in and stalling the engine after 1 second or so and the alarm is beeping... Also the instrument cluster seems to of lost power. The rest of the dash is fine.
I have read that when the instrument pod goes, this messes with the immobiliser, is this whats happened to me?
or, am I lucky enough to simply need to charge the battery?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Mark

Ok a little update,
The car is back running which is good news... however when the dash came back on I was left with a number of faults and a permanent Traction Control light?
Fault 00810 - Brake pressure sensor
Fault 00778 - Steering Angle sensor
Fault 01423 - Diagonal Accelerator sensor
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance for any ideas on this final problem.
