ORIGINAL: Woodhead2k

I was just doing research on the chips for the A3's. Revo has the biggest gain of 60hp and 92ft/lbs torque. APR is only 46hp and a little less torque. Revo is also $100 cheaper than APR and $50 cheaper than AWE. AWE gains are the lowest at 30hp and 60ft/lbs.

Bottom line, go with Revo [sm=smiley20.gif]
I have REVO and like it, but don't let the numbers sway you too much. All of the programs from GIAC, APR, and REVO are very similar in performance. This has been road tested by us in SoCal. We're just doing our part for the community.

So... then is REVO still the best choice based on price? Why you would you pay more for APR or GAIC if REVO is going to give you the same numbers?

Well, the torque and power delivery are a little different between chips, and some find that APR is smoother on the DSG than GIAC or REVO. The REVO chip tends to be a little "more torquey", and the APR builds a little more horsepower, but later in the band. Take your pick?

Cheers!
