ok so you guys in the states maybe have different factory warranty rules to us here in the rest of the world... or maybe we are all under the
same audi warranty blanket???

ok so my question is. ... how far can we go before we lose warranty? also, bodywork would not affect engine warranty would it? and visa versa
im too scared to even look at a new pipe or a engine mod coz i dont know where i stand. and especially having had the dsg problems and am now on box number 3 im a little nervous.

monkeyberry, they've probably got a picture of you and your A3 behind the service counter. I wouldn't do anything to the car that could even encourage them to void your warranty. Especially given the fact you're on your third expensive transmission.

 

I agree. I doubt they would care about body work... but anything that touches the engine I wouldnt mess with since you are already having all these problems with the tranny. What are your lemon laws like out there?

 

we have no lemon law. first i heard about it on here.

so you cant even change an exhaust coz its got the cat in it and screws with other electronics then hey... so you guys who are modding are out of warranty or takin a chance? geez at this rate i might have to jump straight to rs4 lol.

 

Yeah, I wouldn't touch your car with any kind of mod until that whole transmission thing is totally fixed.[]
