Hi Guys - I'm new to the forums, but i must say it looks like a great community over here. I'm trading in my Honda Passport for a 2006 A3 Sport Package, hopefully this week. (My wife wants to test drive a Prius) I also have a 2003 Passat Wagon 1.8t, which I will give to her (unless she really like the Prius). Anyway.....

I've read here and no place else some stories about oil consumption. Is this for real? Are there any US owners out there that are having this issue? In my 1.8t, I don't have any oil consumption, and have it changed every 5000 miles with synthetic. The 1.8t does kind of need a bigger filter to try to squeeze more in, but it doesn't consume very much from my perspective.

Also, has anyone installed a Phatbox in these? I'd be interested in seeing pictures of how you mounted it. I'll certainly post a how-to when I get it. Ideally, I'll want to get in the changer area in the back, or in another compartment in the wall.

Hopefully I'll be driving my Audi today. Off to the dealers.....
