Default A few questions before purchasing first Audi

I'm thinking about buying a 2000 AUDI A4 1.8 TURBO for $4100. The cars interior and exterior is in great condition but the car has 145,000 miles on it how reliable will this be? I would like to at least get three years out of this vehicle until I can buy something else. What things should I look for when I go to test drive this car before buying? any advice you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Find out when the timing belt was last changed. Also ask him if the oil light ever comes on randomly, it can be a sign of dangerous levels of sludge buildup.

I'm sure others will chime in with more suggestions.

yea engine sludge is definitely something you wanna be careful of especially when the car has as many miles as it does, id also check out underneath some rust or wear targeted towards the control arms and stuff

https://www.audiforums.com/forum/audi-a4-8/newbie-guide-version-2-a-80968/ should answer all needed questions. There's also some other stickies at the top you should read through first.

Default Timing belt

Does someone know when the timing belt should be replaced for the Audi A4 3.0 from 2004 I would like to buy. Mileage is only 45.000 km, but car is also 6.5years old?

they say at an average of every 60-70 thousand miles the timing belt should be replaced, but in km case id say your good until 95,000-110,000 km
