Considering an A3
Hello all. I'll start by saying that I know nothing at all about Audi. I've been driving full-sized American pick ups for longer than I remember. As I was flipping through FB marketplace I saw a 2013 Audi A3 sportback. I'm not sure what made me notice. But I thought back to my younger days of some of the simple, fun (when they ran) cars I had. (Datsun 260z/VW gti, etc)
Anyway, since online forums saved my sanity with trucks like my 7.3 liter diesel, I figured I'd come to the place where I'll get an honest answer.
The car is a 2013 A3 Sportback S-line. 6 speed, AWD. 2.0. Here's my worry. It has 170k on the clock. I know with any production car it's a crap shoot. My experience with high mileage vehicles is with trucks.
So to get to the point... How do these cars do with higher mileage? If it's a crap shoot, how and what do I look for? I'm not looking to use it for cross country trips. Just a run around car. So, any suggestions would be appreciated. Even if that suggestion is "hell no." These cars have a strange appeal to me but again, I'm clueless about them.
Thanks.
