An A3 Quattro that's going to look at right tit until at least Wednesday unless I can source a tyre tomorrow. And that isn't looking too hopeful.

And Chef, no offence but I'm sure you're as **** as me when it comes to things like this. One new tyre front o/s and the other three part worn with about half their tread left? How annoying is that??? Damn those space savers!!!

Normally I'd put the new tyre and the full size spare on the front/rear/wherever and use the part worn as the spare. I'm having a hard time trying to justify 2 new tyres for what really just amounts to vanity. What would you do?

Rich,

Well, I'm pretty **** about my car too. I'd definitely purchase two new tires, and if I didn't like the tires currently on the car, then I'd justify the purchase of all four. But that's me.

Cheers!

I had a feeling you'd say that. I've slept on it and I think it's going to be two for me. General consensus seems to be that on the (mentions the Q word again) it's a good idea to change both anyway.

Thanks Chef.
