Hi,
New to the forum.
2001, A3, 1.8 petrol. 220 000km all at Audi. Never had anything more than a bumper bash.
Petrol pump failure. Towed to Audi dealer.
Was told would be sorted for $680 with service.
Then.
Drive shaft problem on test drive, car now un-drivable.

Three scenario's
1) The petrol pump and the driveshaft both fail within days.(Dealer says this is what happened)
2) The driveshaft is damaged during the towing (Flatbed truck and witnessed loading on but not off)
3) Something fishy?

I have looked around on the web regarding known problems with this model driveshaft but haven't found much. Would appreciate any comments or similar experiences.
