Default Driving the A3 Hard

Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any extra precautions or maintenance I need to do to my A3 if I push it pretty hard on a daily basis. As in:

"Load" up for launching the car from stop
accelerating faster, higher rpms
taking turns fast
driving through crappy city roads pretty fast
driving in 100 degree F weather (southern Cali)

Do I need to like, idle my car for a minute or two before I turn off my car (I remember this might be good for older model turbo cars)?

Frequent oil and filter changes never hurt and can only help. Ensure you are always running correct tire pressure at all four corners.

yeah i'd definitely change oil more frequently than the 10000 mile intervals that's regularly scheduled...

The way the car "steps down" (I'm trying to describe the various pitches of different components stopping) when you turn the car off, leads me to think that there is some type of accomodation for the heat of the engine and the coolant/oil temp pressure and manifold pressure that a non-turbo car doesn't go through.

I other words, the doesn't simply turn off. In fact, my wife, who will sometimes meet me in the garage thinks that it's some type of sophisticated/expensive Jet taxing into the garge.

Correct. There is a coolant line that runs through the turbo too and it helps to cool down the turbo, even after the car has been turned off. I personally would still cycle it for a bit before turning off the ignition if you just worked the turbo very hard.

Cheers!
