I tried searching but could not find anything. Can anyone tell me where the ECU is loacted in a 1998 Audi A3 1.8T??

 

It's behind the engine bulkhead at the base of the windscreen. You need to remove the windscreen wipers and panel(s) behind them as if you were going to change the wiper motor.

Be careful disconnecting the ECU though, I think if you completely unplug it, it will lose some of the essential basic settings (more than what gets lost when the battery is disconnected).

Hey jex thanks for that but i cant seem to take that panel off. I took my wipers off but the panel seems to be stuck. I cant see any clips or anything. How do you take it off??
