Location of ECU

Hi am new to this site can anyone help I am trying to find the location ofthe ecu on audi a6 1.8 1996

Any help would be much appreciated

I believe the module is still in the same place on the older body styles, it should be right under the cowl under the drivers side wiper blade.

looking from the front of the carits on your left side ( passenger side USA ) under the lower windshield cover
