I do like it better than the current and yes...three hundred is a lot for an engine cover. I was hoping for something more, exciting than CF. It just looks so bland. But I do like the shape of this new one. Think it will look pretty cool under the hood. Kinda like the look of the unfinished CF cover on the right...

What one has to realize is that the evoms cover that has the 2.0 turbo plate on it is not exactly what you get.
That cover comes plain, the 2.0 turbo emblem is the plate off of your oem engine cover, kind of found this out when it arrived at the house.

Can anyone elaborate a little more on what has to be moved over from the stock cover for the Evoms? Does the whole plate come off with the Audi rings and 2.0T logo, or do you have to pick the letters off individually? What else? Someone mentioned some tabs? Is the stock cover still functionally intact, or do you essentially have to destroy it?

so a little bit of false advertising on evoms part...i dont like that. i think i may go neuspeed route as I like to keep my OEM parts intact in case I need to put things back together. Sure its $200 more, but its really growing on me. I may spice it up with a neuspeed or audi decal...

Another possible option is modifying your stock cover like Audinam did with his EVOMS intake https://www.audiforums.com/m_647543/tm.htm

Or maybeifthe Rings emblem would fit, part # O5010-137359 http://www.germanpartsonline.com/catalog.htmland/or http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...viewimage.html

Letus knowwhat you decide on!

The cover comes all black with a small evoms emblem on it, the pic evoms shows is with your stock 2.0 turbo plate off of your stock engine cover.
My advice to everyone considering purchasing this is to keep it as is, dont try to transfer the stock plate on to the evoms cover, incase you want to sell your car in the near future you still have the stock cover intact.

The evoms cover does not look bad at all the way it comes, the main purpose is to cover all those ugly wires underneath, i think it acomplishes that.
