Hi, Before I forget: 2008 A3 2.0T FSI FWD Blue (just in case the overheating is paint related), 95K miles.

Got home from work (~25 min stop and go) and temp gauge was just below red. Turned the car off, fans ran on high for a few minutes (which has been happening when the car is hot for the couple months I've had it). After some driving and checking, it seems that both fans run when the AC is on, OR when the car is off. idling with AC off and temp just above middle did not start either fan.

Any help would be much appreciated, but I don't have a Bentley's or Chilton's manual yet.
