I purchased an 06 Audi A3 DSG a couple of weeks ago. So far so good except one thing when I fill up at the gas station (93 octane) the trip computer shows 230 miles till empty. According to the website www.fueleconomy.gov an Audi A3 gas tank is 14.5 Gallons so based on the trip computer numbers I am getting 15.8 miles per gallon. I find that number to be way too low. I currently running the REVO trial software and I do not know if that is the problem. Any help would appreciated.

 

THe trip computer DTE will read out based on how you drive it. If it shows 230 miles to empty, then you must've drove pretty hard on your last tank. And if you got the REVO trial (which only lasts a few hours) then I bet you drove the hell out of it.

I have an 06 A3 with APR stg II and my trip computer still reads out the correct DTE and MPG. The DTE is really accurate too. Once it reads 0 Miles you pretty much have 5 bonus miles so be careful

for what its worth i just made a trip back from vegas and got 33.4mpg according to the computer. and i made it from vegas to los angeles(250 miles) in just barely less then half a tank. I'm running APR stage 1 software and its quite accurate for me as well. Also i was driving very easy in order to get such high mileage, if i'm on it in city traffic it easily drops down below 20mpg. but my overall average is 19-22 mpg or so.
