How much for a3?

RE: How much for a3?
$28k sounds reasonable. Just ask to see the factory invoice and ask about any spiffs or kickbacks from Audi. A good dealership would share that with you. Just figure out how much over invoice you're comfortable with spending. A little internet research will help you find all current dealer incentives.

i don't know about that. when i was looking for my a3 3 months ago i didn't see more than 8-10 A3's on the various SF Bay Area lots I visited.
but you must be talking about the several used non-audi POS cars audi dealers normally have on their lots and so 60 sounds about right.

Sorry; let me qualify. This is SoCal. I also know that there are something like 60 cars sitting on dealer lots in Norcal.

Dealerships are not going to get involved with legalities like absorbing sales tax and things like that. Cut your best deal and then they'll apply the appropriate tax. You could be an IRS agent for all they know.

+1 on the comment though - we had a sales tax audit at our company a couple of years back and I have never seen people so uptight and narrow minded as these people... It is not a good idea to screw around with this or ask someone else to do it either…
