I am at Audi rite now and they informed me of an I3 update for my ECU. They really were not to sure what the update consisted of which kind of worried me. Any ideas?

 

It is supposed to clear up the CEL coming on due to mis-fires when the engine is cold. Well, at least that's what everyone has said. Don't know what else to tell you. If you're chipped, then you might want to wait on the reflash until your sure that will install the software again for free, or forego the reflash all together.

Surely any tuner worth their salt will reflash FOC after Audi has dicked with your ECU?

Anyhoo, we (in the UK) are starting to hear about this too. Mines coming up for its first service soon and I'll let you know how I go on. Luckily my Bluefin stores a copy of the performance map so I should be OK. In fact I might just get in touch with Audi and ask them what's going on...
