Iced Windshield

RE: Iced Windshield
wow, this is all very funny (no offense to youCarrie)to me too! I have never once used washer fluid to clear my windows in the snow, but i guess this winter hasn't been too severe for the DC area. The ice scraper and leaving the wipers on seem to correct the issues for me.

Ahhh scraping ice off your windows is not your only problem. The cold weather in Canada offers a another benefit.......lots of furry friends next to your nice toasty A3 engine! Its not that uncommon, as I have experience them, they are only trying to survive. [sm=icon_rofl.gif]

RE: Iced Windshield
Well, I live in Tahoe where the weather is pretty cold and snowy and I've never had a problem. Then again, I never use the wiper fluid - I just don't see any need for it. I partially scrape the ice off with an ice scraper and that makes the windshield good enough to drive. After 5 minutes with the defroster on, the windshield is clear. If it's snowing, the wipers by themselves are enough to clear of the windshield, no need for wiper fluid.
