Default Interior Fan Problem

I bought my A3 last week and the interior fans dont work (its not got AirCon or Climate Control). I can feel warm air come out, but turning the dial up/down makes no difference. When i started it the other day it ground into life, then died about 10 mins later, so it would appear not to be a fuse. I read in a previous post about someone with a similar problem who went to an auto electrician who opened it up and gave it a wack and make it work, which I think may worth a try. Can anyone tell me where about the motor/fan is? As it doesnt work I cant hear it to work it out, and I dont have the manual to see if that tells me either. Its a 1998 1.8 model.

Many Thanks,

Jon

fuse F25 is for the blower, the blower its self is behind the glove box access gained from the foot well it does sound like the bearings have gone in the fan which will require a new unit but check the fuses first

Im afriad being new to Audis I dont know where F25 is. Is it one of the 3 fuses on top of the battery (these are all intact) or is it somewhere else?

Ive checked the fuses and they are all fine, but had had a fumble around and found what I think to be the motor with all the wires pulled. Plugging them back in made no difference and the fan still didnt come on! The plot thickens! I think you may well be right about the motor being the problem, but i will test that the plug that was disconnected has power coming to it. Thanks for your help.
