Mechatronic Repair in the UK?

Mechatronic Repair in the UK?
Does anyone have any experience of having a mechatronic unit repaired in the UK please? I recently purchased an A3 privately only to have it break down the next day. By reading this forum it seems that repair is possible I'm now trying to find a reliable method of having it fixed rather than replaced.
