Nav Plus and MP3s info!
Sure Zagato... as soon as I get it! ha ha. It's been on order for 8 weeks and coming in next week. We'll be on vacation that week, so at least two more weeks before I have pics...
In the mean time I've discovered a couple of places with pics. It's really hard to get a good idea of the colors so I was doing the same thing. Here's a guy in seattle with an Ocean Blue w/stock wheels on Premium... we will have roof rails on ours, otherwise should look the same.

I test drove an Ocean Blue in Portland, and I saw an Ocean Blue A4 Avant once that looked real nice. I'd like to see a Liquid Blue, but have never seen one. I think I would have been happy with silver as well....

Just checked out that guys pics of his Premium A3.
That's definetly a nice ride.
The stock wheels on the Premium totally make the exterior appearence.
16-spoke 17's, definetly was of the features that had me choose Premium also.
I didnt see to much of a difference on the S-Line 16-spoke 17's. The rims looked a tab bit more glossier on the S-Line.
My A3 is still weeks away to arrive, my anticipation is reaching TOP level now!

So let me get this straight, it really doesn't matter what size SD card you are using, but rather the number of files on the card? It is maxed at 400 files? To use the suggested 160 kbps file format for each MP3, how big of a SD card should I use? I am thinking of buying an SD card but which size would not be an oversize?
thanks
PS...you can always use two SD cards for a total of 800 files?!?

I'm in the same boat as Jefferson in that most of my music library is made up of ACC format (Apple iPod library).
Does anyone know of a cheap (or free) utility to convert these ACC format files to MP3?

Hey Husky,
I've discovered that iTunes 7.0 sort-of does this. (And it might have before, but I didn't even try until I recently downloaded 7.0)
Just right click on your song in iTunes, choose the option "Convert Selection to MP3". However, some songs say they can't do it because it's "write protected"...
In any case, you can rip your CDs in MP3 format as far as I can tell. It's going to take some work, but I plan into getting serious with this in the next few days before my car arrives. I'll report on my progress.

Yes, you do have to re-rip your CDs to convert to MP3s... sucks... and you cannot download them that way. Only in Apple format....burn the CD, then re-rip it... Thanks Steve...thanks a ton. I just posted on the same topic for the poor guy that spent some cash on the "iPod Integration Kit". Sounds like it's overpriced, underfeatured, and noone at the dealer has a clue as to what you get. I guess this problem with MP3 conversion is not so bad?
10 days and counting... until I get my A3 2.0 ...LOADED! woohoo!

Jefferson, thanks for the link to the blue S3. Showed it to my wife and she likes. Hmmm, grey interior though.....wanted the black. Am a bit worried bout the grey and dirt. Have to think bout this one. The Audi dealer called and he located a white s-line with the cold wx pkg. I don't really need the cold wx pky, I'm in Savannah....not much snow here. I really want the tech pkg.....bi zenon's and blue tooth. Hopefully the BT will work with the SE W810i I just ordered
. After seeing the pics in the link I'm thinking of the Nav pkg. It looks great! I want to be able to play MP3's and that seems the only way to do so. I cannot believe that Audi does not have an input port for MP3 players. I'm guessing that you can play your MP3's off of the memory cards and still use the Nav function. Ah decisions. BTW, did you specify your S3 with the S line package with/without the summer sport tires? Also, if we ordered from the dealer (doesn't look like we'll be able to find one our specs throught the dealer network) what's the wait time? Thks for your help. Cheers
