I can use help pricing an A3. I have used Kelly Blue Book and other websites to get a general idea on pricing but I'd like some opinions from people who have bought an A3 and negotiated price.

This is what I'm interested in:

2008 A3 2.0
Auto transmission
black or lava grey
S-line


The dealer has 2, one with 9,500 miles and the other with 11,700. They don't have the open sky system, which I am happy about since I have had sun roofs in other cars and I did not particularly like them.

They want $26,995. Both cars were service loaners. They will be certified and they dealer is offering an additional 2 years on the warranty.

What should I offer them? What should I pay? Any upgrades I should negotiate? I really want to add a bluetooth system and an ipod (there is no aux jack on either car).

Still looking for someone to help me out here. Any ideas of what a good negotiating point would be for me to start? Anyone have experience buying a service loaner?

 

I like to low ball and then play hardball... I would offer them 21K but that's me... They will probably come back with something 2-3k above that... Then you can offer to "split the difference"... btw a set of monster mats are worth their weight in gold, if you can't them to budge much on price then try for the add ons...

 

I think you can probably get it at around 23 to 24... anything above 24 and go for add ons
