NO MAINTENANCE ON 07 A3...WHY??
I just found out from this forum and from another A3 owner that the 06's covered the 50,000 scheduled maintenance but the 07's don't?[
] Why did Audi change this? Regardless, I am going to pay the $550 dollars (Which my dealer conviently forgot to tell me!)[:@] for the 50,000 mile scheduled maintenance. Having an Audi, I think that is going to save me a S*&Tload of cash in the long run especially when I am seeing that it is roughly 300 to 400 buckaroos every 10,000 miles.

The philosophy behind our Audi protection program is quite simple. You drive the car, we back it for 4 years or 50,000 miles. Only those who build cars this well would dare to protect them this comprehensively, and offer such extensive service packages.
As an owner of a new Audi 2007 model year vehicle, you will receive:
The first scheduled maintenance service at 5,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, free of charge
4 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, new vehicle limited warranty
12-year limited warranty against corrosion perforation
Audi 24-hour Roadside Assistance for 4 years
When you purchase a new Audi 2007 model year vehicle, you have the opportunity to purchase Audi Care, a comprehensive new vehicle scheduled maintenance service plan. The cost may be rolled into your vehicle payment, or, if you prefer, you may purchase the plan any time within 12 months or 12,000 miles after you purchase your Audi.
Audi Care covers the manufacturer-required regularly scheduled maintenance services at 15,000 miles, 25,000 miles, 35,000 miles, and 45,000 miles, or 5 years from the original vehicle in-service date, whichever comes first.
The cost of Audi Care at the time of the new vehicle purchase or within
12 months or 12,000 miles is $550 MSRP
Additionally, an Audi Care Certified pre-owned Vehicle Plan will be available July 1, 2006. A customer who purchases an Audi 2004 model year or newer Certified pre-owned vehicle from an authorized Audi dealership in the U.S. will have the opportunity to purchase the Audi Care Certified pre-owned Vehicle Plan. The plan covers manufacturer-required regularly scheduled maintenance services at 55,000 miles, 65,000 miles and 75,000 miles, or 7 years from the original vehicle in-service date, whichever comes first.
The Audi Care Certified pre-owned Vehicle Plan cost is $650. MSRP

Yes but they barely raised the price of the '07 vs the '06 so I'd say people should be happy about it. This gives you the option to SAVE $550 if you don't feel that you want this option. I ordered an '07 and fully expected the price to go up by by a few percent (i.e. $1K for a 3.2) and was very happy that it didn't.
