I have a 16 A3 cab. The top is having issues in locking the rear deck lid. All of the information I’ve found shows a process of resetting the process using a key found with the fuses. However, mine is the base model and there is just a red string and tab attached to the latch. I’m assuming that is the release but it doesn’t appear to help the latch reset. not sure if I’m doing that correctly since I can’t find anything on line about this type.

It may be the wrong approach. Just looking for process to get latch to reengage on rear deck lid when closed.
