It seems as of late, the number of A3s in my area has increased exponentially. In 2006 I may have seen 2-3 total outside the dealer lots, and I loved having something different. Now I'm seeing a handful of them every week. The ones I've seen up close have been spretty stripped down (fabric seats, no Open Sky), so I assume this is partly due to end of model year sales going on.

Anyone else seeing lots of other A3s daily? Kinda bums me out because I liked having something that stood out.

 

I still dont see many A3's on the road at all.
I am in the New Jersey tri-state area and take RT80 every day back and forth to work.
I probably see maybe one A3 a month, if that.
There is a silver 06' in my work parking lot, with no options, fabric seats and no open sky or dsg.
But that's the only one I see once in awhile.

My girlfriend just came back from San Fran and said she saw A3's everyday. Alot of Ibis White A3's she said. Around my area here, I rarely see an A3.

Seems as if they are poping up everywhere... In fact I was at the grocery store about 2 weeks ago and decided to stand in front of my car and have a cig (I don't smoke in the car) and it turns out it wasn't my car. Same color and everything!

 

I've noticed a few more around my area, but still no more than 5 or 6 total. I live near an Audi dealership and I pass it at least once per day, a few of the A3s I've seen were on that road so it's quite possible they were test drives. Definitely enjoy driving something you don't see all the time. I've surprised a few of the import tuners around here too. I'm sure they have no idea what it is, but by the time they hear the turbo spool it's too late.

 

i've only seen one a3 in the past 3 weeks. weird?! there are however a lot of C class, 3 series, e class and 5 series aroudn these parts.

 

I would have to say that the vehicles you mentioned below are probably seen EVERYWHERE.

Usually the A3's are in more artistic environments I noticed.

 

Yeah, here in Tucson, I think I am one of 3 or four....for the whole city. I see one maybe once a month.

And if anyone wants a smoking deal the Tucson Audi dealer has 10 (Ten!) '07's in stock...

 

in LA i have noticed a lot more recently..but you're right -- more stripped down models. only seen a few with my exact specs, so that makes me feel better. haha..

 

In Los Angeles, from the West L.A. to Downtown, I see A3's literally everyday. I would have to say an average of one a day.

Most of them I see aren't totally stripped down though - see a lot with sports package (s-line). I only see bone-stock ones though - ones without even clear or smoked side markers (which makes the A3 look soooo much better) so I guess I still feel a tiny bit special ....

 

I see a $hitload ofbeat A4s every day. It still stands out

Ive only seen ~5 in boston since i got the car back in july. I was aware of (infatuated with) the car from trips to europe but am positive that the first time i saw one in new england was on the dealer lot right before reaching for my wallet. Got my eyes peeled for them now.
