such thing as a 2.8T A3?

I saw a red A3 and on the back of the car it read "2.8T" and under that were some other letters which i forgot, but it was 3 letters. Any one have any info on the specs?

Was it the new or old shape. Old shape decal...1.8T

It was the new style, the 2006 i think. And those 3 letters under the 2.8T were RS4 or RS6, i don't remember exactly.
