Default Superchip - Performance Increases

Hi All,

I wanted to ask you guys some questions. First, I drive a TDI. I had thought it was a 200hp version, but finally figured it out..it is the 170hp version. (Not that I care about the number, the feeling when driving it is still the same!) But I am looking at getting it chipped and want to know what if you guys think the performance difference will be worth it.

Superchip's chart shows: (for comparison I have put the 2.0FSI engine data alongside. Superchip)
Original HP -170 4284RPM 196HP at 6142
Chipped HP 201 at 4202RPM 241HP at 6183

Torque
Original 359NM at 2356RPM 273NM at 2674 RPM
Chipped 432 at 2315 RPM 317NM at 2572 RPM

So, in the TDI with superchip, I'm gaining 30HP and 73NM of torque. (on an original number that is higher than the even the chipped FSI engine.)

So,
a) are these differences enough that I will 'feel it' and thus, justify the warranty risk chipping entails.
b) Is this particular chip, "superchip" a good one to go with for the TDI? (it is available in Taiwan where I live at the moment)

THANKS!!!

You'll definitely FEEL the difference with the chip. The torque is what you'll feel during driving and it will be a bigger gain than chipping the FSI engine. Superchips is a well-known and respected company, so I wouldn't worry about their tuning of your car. Your car will be a torque monster!

Cheers!
