Forgive the "newbie" question, but...
what do you guys do with the tethered gas cap when filling up?
There is no "hook" on the inside of the gas door (like some other cars) and I could not figure out a way to perch the open edge of the gas cap itself on the gas flap door.
Is there a way to keep the cap from "dangling" down and resting on the paint? Please tell me I'm missing something obvious here.[sm=helpout.gif]

 

If you look at the cap, there are a couple notches on the rim and the cap will set on top of the filler door. Play with it a while and you'll get it.

dont set it on the filler door! you might scratch the paint. instead put those noches on the hinge itself! it fits perfect, and holds it fine. Not sure if audi designed it with that in mind, but either way it works great.
