As someone pointed out the other night when I was hanging out with some friends, there is nothing wrong with my stock wheels. So to save money I'm just going to get new tires (Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, 235/45-17, I'm told they will fit the stock 17x7.5 wheels) for now and maybe at a later date I'll re-think the wheel idea. I mean it is looks only and for the most part I'm all about increasing the performance right now. I might use that money I am saving on the wheels for some suspension upgrades

Just new here so take it easy on me....2007 A3 Sline Lava Grey

Looking to upgrade my stock 17" wheels with 18's but not sure what offset I should be looking for. Sounds like I should be going for btw 40 - 50. I found these sweet azz rims but they only come in 35 offset. Will this work? They have the right bolt pattern 5/112.

On an 18" rim I believe you should be looking for an offset higher than 45 (especially if you are going to lower your car at all). For a stock ride height I believe I remember seeing where a couple of people were getting away with 43
