Yeah, people always say that, and maybe it's me, but every chipped car that I've owned has the mpg drop a little after the program. Even in the TDI, when I tried to be very good, the mpg still went down.(although it was much better than my normal driving)
I just don't want someone getting a chip thinking that it will definitely increase your mpg. Anticipate that it will get worse, then be very happy if it doesn't.

I agree, buying a chip on the premise that it will improve mileage is a bad idea. It was just something I noticed, and I had mine for a little more than a year. Now the problem is... the car is so fun to drive chipped, that there is no way in hell you're going to drive normally. So it's a moot point.[8D]
