What are you paying for your A3?
#21
Hi. I'm new here and hope to be a part of this community once I buy an A3.
I've read the last 7 "pricing" threads, and am just wondering if anyone had anything else to add specific to my case or the current economic climate.
Here is what I am looking to buy:
NEW 2009 A3 2.0T FWD
DSG
S-Line
Convenience
Nav
MSRP is $36k, Edmunds puts it just under that ($35k). I'm in central California, if that makes a difference.
Any comments?

New A3 Price?
Hello! When I was looking in January, that was about right - $36K on the '09's, as everything they had on the lot was optioned up, like you want.
I was looking to spend under $30K, though, and was considering both new and used. I went to Niello in Sacramento, and I can heartily recommend them - they went the extra mile for me! I got a great deal on a new '08 and am happy as a clam in a bucket of mud.
Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. I'm hoping with the economy the way it is that I will be able to do better than sticker. Just wondering if anyone else has had a more recent buying experience?
That dealership certainly seems to have the volume and inventory, too bad they are 4 hours away...

Thanks for the info. Bought mine yesterday from Niello in Sac (thanks StealthSlacker!). Ended up getting a fairly loaded one (2.0T, Quattro, S-Line, Convenience, Cold-Weather, Open Sky, some other stuff), sticker was $39.5k, paid ~22% less. Great deal. My wallet is still hurting from cutting them a check, so don't expect to see any mods any time soon.
Already put 500 miles on it (200 back from the dealer, and fooling around today).

$500 Under Invoice (12/30/08)
Picked up my A3 through Rusnak Audi in Pasadena. Paid $500 under dealer invoice for my '09 A3 DSG Quattro w/ Conv. Pkg, Premium Pkg, and Open Sky Pkg. Dealer said they usually charge $500 over invoice. Think it was something like $32.5k before tax, title, license, etc. Audi also gave 1.9% financing for 36 months. Think I got a good deal due to it being both the end of the month and end of the year for sales quotas.

Congratulations! We worked with Aaron as our salesman, but everyone at Niello was great. Because we were on a budget and looking at a new, leftover '08, they (Aaron and Rick, the sales manager) worked to find us some incentive money from Audi, and we had a handshake deal in 45 minutes.
