Default Where to Chip?

Ok,
Here is a question for you guys.....
I live in Orange County CA. Where should I go to chip my A3. Which chip should I use?
Please explain why you would or have used that shop / chip.
Your advice is much appreciated.

WOW! your going to have a lot of options with in a 2hr drive radius. Research and make up your own mind. Also call or go to there shops and talk before you do anything. Basicly feel each one out.

A chip is a chip.

So..decide on the chip you want first.

THEN...pick a shop that is professional, has good service, and is CLOSE to you!! It really helps if the shop is close by in case your car gets flashed by the dealer and you need to get re-flashed with the chip. This also relates to the shop's attitude, will they do this for free? what will they charge? How easy is it to get an appointment? In my opinion, since the chip is a chip, the service and and a close location are the most important things once you've decided on the chip you want.

Just as an FYI. I purchased an ECU programmer for the A3 I have on order. It is a self contained programmer with both aUSB cable for receiving updates over theweb, and an OBDII cable for plugging into the OBDII outlet under the dash. It allows me to return all settings to factory before a dealer visit, and to re-tune after the visit. The HP/torque after tuning is 245/266. I have this system in my Volvo V50 T5. No issues. Have a look at http://www.eurosporttuning.com/ Yes this system costs more, but I prefer being able to change back and forth between factory and tuned settings in my own garage.
