the 12v can go well into the 200K's if properly maintained.

As for the clutch, my car is on it's second one and it has 197,XXX miles on it. I'm not sure how you would check to see if it's going, I guess it all has to do with feel.
I don't know how to check the CV boots but someone here will and then when they tell you I can check mine too.


be warned. I have a 96 A4 which right now if everything that is broken was fixed would take about 3grand estimate if I did everything by the book and with no DIY's.(TB, Cats, Power Steering Rack, thermostat) Thankfully I'm somewhat mechanically inclined.

Im really thinking im buying this car. I dont need to do any major modding, ive already got a hit and run and im not even 17 so i dont need any tickets. Just a nice, fast luxurious car

if thats what your lookin for id say go for it, it looks like a solid well maintained car. if you wanna mod tho u gotta try and get a 99.5+ with the 1.8T.

I'd say go for it. I love my 12v(I'm 18 BTW). It'll go 130 if you want to comfortably but also has enough torque to get you off the line and up to speeds for merging. Also that particular one looks good. It's sitting pretty right now.


Also it's not that fast of a car but it'll be going faster then you think because of how smooth it is at speed.

 

if i do get it the first thing im going to be doing is tinting the lights... i did a search here on the forum and came up with a couple links but does anyone have a really good link or page onhow to do this? Thanks much appreciated
